Actually a short story is most-usually categorized as any storytelling that is 7,500 words and under. #2 was under 7,500 words. It was in fact a short story, not "too long" by any meaning of the category. Before stating what a "true" short story is, it might be good to learn what one actually is first. Otherwise you are falsely critiquing somebody that has done no wrong. Take that into consideration please. :)
