I have been honestly contemplating this since my return to activity. At first, I wasn’t sure if I would be fully up for it, but finally there comes a time where you have to make a decision. After a bout of inactivity, and then a sudden revival, I have decided what course I should be taking once more. I suppose it’s about that time. I was spurred once more into action given the chaos continuing to evolve around us.

In the past few months I have been writing more, I served once again in Congress, and I have served as Gnilrap’s Secretary of State this month, fully able to return to form and enjoy some international politics once again. Despite enjoying the return to work, the month was filled with infighting, blacklisting, and revolution. I don’t think that many will say it was a month that we would want to repeat. When I left office in January of 2014, we were starting on a great course for our country. After an experiment with Sirius, we came to form our own alliance, Pacifica, which has lasted and increased its strength since its foundation. The eUS has performed beyond my expectations, so much so that people have become bored with our success. We can be great in this moment, however; all is not as it should be. I cannot condone continuing this degree of separation, and I want to work once more towards a national reconciliation and refocusing.

With potential alliance shifts on the horizon we must fully prepare ourselves, and continue to increase our standing in the world. We must ensure that Pacifica is strong enough to face these challenges and remains a cohesive and cooperative group. We must also ensure that our external interactions benefit not only our nation but our alliance as a whole. Our domestic situation is continuing to unravel, and we must repair the bonds of our community once more so we can focus outward rather than fight inward. We must repair and strengthen our domestic institutions that focus upon the health and education of our newer players, as these continue to fall by the wayside. We must begin again to educate and show new arrivals the best ways they can contribute.  The game might be dying, but the community within it remains strong, determined, and active. The recent controversies are proof that people still care deeply about the future course we take. I come back at an interesting moment, one that I have seen before and had to deal with. We stand at a crossroads. We can continue our decline domestically and stand stagnant internationally, or we can begin to rebuild what we deserve and what we are capable of accomplishing.

I will put this out front so there is no confusion: I support the defensive dictatorship. I know that last election was seen as a referendum on this issue, but even with popular support the law stands until congress undoes it, and I will not support action that is against the authority of our legislative branch of government. There continues to be no consensus on the issue that every party can be satisfied with. That being said, I do not believe that our policy disagreements should continue getting in the way of working together for the national benefit. I do not support our differences in ideology evolving into personal disputes and civil war. To those of you who may disagree with the dictatorship, I cannot promise a reprieve, nor can I promise a change of heart in my stance. I cannot promise to eliminate partisan divides in our country.

What I can promise is that you will not be left out of the discussion. What I can assure is that you will provide valuable support to our nation. I genuinely want to see outsiders come in as well, because I think they have a lot to offer and we need new blood replenishing our ranks. However, I cannot welcome the continuation of openly breaking and disregarding laws, no matter their origin. A majority of the in-game elected congress voted to keep the defensive dictatorship, and I recognize the authority of the democratically elected congress. Some of you may say you do not recognize the authority of “meta-laws”, but this is how I and many others play the game. We cannot survive as a country without external organization. On the other hand we cannot simply bar a portion of the community indefinitely and expect things to change. Restriction has diminishing returns and I can already see cracks forming on what used to be considered a firm consensus. What is worse is how these conflicts begin to evolve into personal character disputes, which goes beyond simple political disagreement and ventures into territory no one wants to see continue. Eventually, a choice will have to be made on whether or not to continue the separation. Our choices as I see it are to reform the community as it stands or sit back and watch it continue to crumble beneath us and let loose our chance for greatness.

To recap: my campaign is focused upon increasing our international presence and strengthening our domestic focus. It sounds remarkably similar to the platform I pushed two years ago, which makes this fairly familiar to me.  I may not be a completely new candidate, but I am one that cares about the tasks laid in front of us.  I also deeply care about the fabric that holds our community together, however tattered and loose it may have become. We should not be driven by personal divisions and ideological disputes. We should not be destroying ourselves from the inside. Too much time is spent dwelling upon the divisions in our community. We should be striving to improve ourselves in the world and at home. We should be actively working to rebuild our community. This is our moment.

I figured I should start rolling out some of the cabinet as well as get more specific on certain aspects of my defense and foreign policy plans first. I have to admit that a quite a bit of my thought processes went into deciding my cabinet. I don’t necessarily like choosing people based on party affiliation because I don’t pick my cabinet to get votes, I pick them to govern. I've been fairly apolitical my entire career and I've always driven to be country first. My main two considerations on cabinet are can they do the job, and can I work well with them. 

Another twist to many of my cabinet choices is to help whom I see as future presidential material, so I intend to put together a team of leaders, not simply followers. This spawned from the fact that my last terms in office were followed for months by those who had served in my cabinet. In that vein, I want to inspire others to run for the office, especially those who have not been there already. So let's get started.

Vice President is often two things, a purposeful choice or a vote getter. I already ruled the first one out, so you know where this is going. I believe Vice President goes to who you would like to see as a successor, or at the very least, someone to follow in your footsteps when they feel they are ready. I have chosen Derphoof to be my Vice-President.



Derp has been around forever, and has yet to become President. Well, at least President of a meaningful country (It doesn’t count if you do it in Canada, Derphoof). He’s served almost every position in a cabinet, and has been a master of propaganda and writing, something I follow and enjoy intently. He’s ready to be President, he just has to realize it, and I intend to push him in this direction whether or not he likes it. Just as he's helped countless other administrations, he will come to help mine.

Now we deal with Chief of Staff. I wanted someone dedicated to work, and someone who has experience leading and directing. Chief of Staff is the workhorse of the administration and ensures everyone is on task. My pick has already had experience as Secretary of State and recently stepped up to lead our nation’s media. My choice for Chief of Staff is Orikfricai.

He too is someone I’d like to see lead in his own right, and right now I trust him to help me lead my cabinet. He's a proven party leader, and I look forward to working more closely with him, and watching him keep cabinet whipped on task for our country. Orik is someone I haven't had the chance to work closely with, despite being his deputy the previous month, so I will also enjoy getting to know him better this next month.

Now we head over to the National Security Council. And since this deals with wars, I will also address that point here. Since there is more than one person, I’ll head straight into introductions. My choices for the NSC are Resoula, Tyler Bubblar, and The Dark Knight. Resoula has proven himself this month already, and I’d like to see him continue to grow in the position. Tyler Bubblar is a former president himself, so I expect his experience to show in this position. And finally, Dark Knight has shown that he keeps a close eye on world affairs, and I value that, and want to keep that asset working for our country. Joining my NSC to keep USAF running smoothly as Secretary of Defense, I have asked Hale Kane to come back as Secretary of Defense. Alongside a larger NSC I hope to also make the Defense department active and updated regularly so that you know you are fighting for the right battles. Hale Kane has shown to be capable of helping me accomplish this. While there are too many to picture, I want this team to help me set right anything that might go wrong.



When it comes to war, I’m interested in getting money back for our country. I don’t like spending, and I assume many people don’t like the consequences of higher taxes that results from this spending. I also realize that the USA soaked up a bit of prime time this month, and when we receive, we must give back, and I intend to pay back for our allies. I want to focus on the priorities of our allies for a time to ensure proper respect for their help. In doing so we reaffirm our commitment to Pacifica, and all other nations we consider friends. While I am not ruling out war, since things can come in surprises as we have seen with Chile, I’m not going to be one to actively seek out further conflict. We're stretched out a bit already and I do not want to over-extend.

And that leads me further towards our foreign affairs. I look for someone I trust deeply when it comes to foreign policy, since it is something quite close to my heart. This person has been a close confidant in all my dealings abroad and at home, and someone I already have experience working closely with in this area. I have chosen Aramec as my Secretary of State.

He's already proven himself to me before, and I will always value his service. We also share similar perspectives on the world, and I value that. And while he’s already had his time as President, I don’t think one term was enough. He worked to make us an empire, and now I expect him to give his best helping me.

Which I suppose means I need to elaborate more on my foreign policy. Everyone knows that the world is changing, and the USA is not in isolation from these events. However, before deciding our ultimate course in these seas, we must reaffirm my commitment to Pacifica. This is an alliance we ourselves created alongside Russia, and I do not intend to abandon it. The USA has a long way to go to clear its reputation as having problems with commitments. I seek to strengthen Pacifica and place it on the right course, looking out not only for our best interests, but also the nations within our alliance. As for the shifting sides, I don’t believe it is my choice alone, and I will continue to work with congress and our allies as I have this month as Secretary of State to decide where our sails take us.

I suppose I can’t leave out our occupation of Indonesia. While I currently support our presence there, I wish to continually keep congress involved in discussions about this due to the longevity of our stay. We have already fought a few significant wars seeking to counter our presence there. I do not wish for this occupation to become an undue burden on our country, and thus I will work in tandem with all powers involved.

I will definitely touch on recent events since it is hard to avoid, and I know you're dying to know my take on it since it's the hot button issue, but the primary focus will be on my desire to revitalize our domestic programs dedicated towards new players. [NAZ4POTUS] Aiming for a Better America

Apologies for taking a bit longer to write this portion of my campaign. I have been busier than expected and also felt that this portion required more thought put into it. First I will touch on this month’s domestic crisis, and then I will finish with information on the domestic portion of my cabinet. Alright, let’s get started.

So those who have asked me questions or have had longstanding conversations with me already know my opinion on the Bear Calvary Revolution and SFP’s position within our country. I also hinted at such in my announcement article and in previous articles about this problem. Do I think that SFP members are traitors? No, not really. This month could have been a lot quieter and smoother without the events of the revolution, but it did not cause irreparable harm to our nation. Honestly the worst outcome of this was to severely diminish the profile of up-and-coming SFP national figures, as I had said in an earlier article. However, how we act from this point does have the possibility of making this unable to fix.

For the establishment, threatening or going through with a planned PTO of SFP will get us no closer to a resolution, and would in fact make this situation far worse than it is presently. Locking out SFP from national progression will also have the same effect. For SFP and Bear Calvary, continuing to disregard how we have organized government for years or launching further revolutions against the dictatorship would also ensure the conflict continues. What we have is a mutually assured destruction situation. I voted for the blacklisting and the codification of its meaning, and until overturned by congress, they are in effect. Do I believe that SFP and others involved have to beg to get these removed? Absolutely not. But if they want to be a part of our government system and decisions, it requires good faith actions and a recognition of the laws as they stand.

As I have told many, I believe in starting a process of reconciliation, but this requires good will from everyone involved. It also requires engagement from both sides of the conflict. SFP is a part of our country, they are not domestic terrorists. Engaging in that line of thought not only ensures their lack of cooperation, it will push others away as well, making this country ungovernable. Members of the Feds, USWP, and WTP are not all corrupt elitists out to remove opposition and silence dissent. We act according to our beliefs, the same as SFP or BSP, and are not over powerful boogeymen. Both sides may have irreconcilable beliefs, but that does not mean we have irreconcilable passions and desires to make this country better. We must not treat each other with disrespect and scorn. As President, I aim to set an example that we can be above this behavior, and move forward for the common good. To simplify, I believe wholeheartedly in the laws and ways we have governed this country, and I also believe there is a place for SFP within that structure.

And now I proceed to discuss plans for the Department of Citizen Affairs and my Media Department. As many of you know, DoCA receives funds as a part of the budget. As many of you may not know, those funds go to programs that give back to the players. In fact, it is odd that someone as knowledgeable as me still has to actively seek out what programs are currently being run and which aren’t. Simply put, there is no promotion for DoCA, which means I assume there is little knowledge of their programs amongst our newer citizens.

It has also occurred to me that our Educational aspect of DoCA has fallen by the wayside. DoCA emerged as a combination of Interior and Education Departments, which means that the responsibility for education falls to them. We have no rotating articles helping new players, we have no mentoring of new players, and I’m not even sure that American University is fully operational anymore. Some may say that as the game dies we don’t really have the energy to put effort into these programs, but I would say that the only way we survive is by making sure there are others to eventually take our place.



Because of this, I am announcing Hale26 as my Secretary of Civilian Affairs. Hale26 helped me save my Education Department, and I know that he has a quiet energy that will ensure DoCA gets back on its feet and into full gear. But I do not want him to do this alone. I am creating a commission of players who have been known for their dedication towards new players and domestic programs. This commission will aid Hale26 and myself by brainstorming and collaborating on ways to revitalize the department and expand its scope to ensure it is truly worthy of the money it receives from congress. This commission will consist of Rainy Sunday, Arrden, Yui MHCP001, and EddieA. Alongside Hale26, I look forward to working with this group and putting DoCA back on track.

I would also like to revitalize our Media Department, with a goal that this department will also encourage national media. I would like to see us return to consistent WHPRs and ensure that this administration informs the public about its progress regularly. I am announcing Jaden A. as my Secretary of Media. She has shown a dedication to our domestic programs, but I felt that allowing her to expand her experience while improving our nation’s media was a worthy cause for her to take.

Alongside her are Press Secretary SColbert and Deputy Secretary of Media James Schubert. Typically, I don’t feel a need to include deputies in cabinet announcements, but each of these serve a greater purpose. SColbert will be reviving the position of Press Secretary to add more humor to the otherwise serious situations we have, and Schubert will be assisting Jaden A in supporting a project originating from his own ideas. I would like to see the Media Department encourage national media, and to further interest those with a desire to write with positive incentives.

As you can see, I plan on attempting to improve many aspects of our domestic institutions. While I am limited to executive areas, I would like to see other areas of our nation take our lead, even if it is at the individual level. We can make our country greater, we just have to actually put effort into doing so. If you have any questions or comments you would like to share, feel free.
